After stealing the race lead on the first lap, Dougie looked to be in a strong position throughout the forty-five minute endurance race on the historic Brands Hatch Grand Prix Course. Taking advantage of a safety car, his mid-race pit stop saw him an impressive fifteen seconds ahead of the second placed competitor. However as tyres fell off the gap started to close until with just a couple of laps remaining, they were side-by-side at over 200kmh (130mph) and this is what happened next - an unfortunate ending but luckily everyone was unhurt - if not a little disappointed...
