Matador Welcomes Jo Kent, Chief Data Officer

Jo Kent, Chief Data Officer

For some time Matador has been searching for someone to tie together the data capabilities we offer in such a way as to drive the transformational proposition among the management teams of Japanese pharma. We are delighted to say that we have now found the person.

Jo Kent joined us on January 1, 2022. After reading theoretical physics at Essex University, he gained a Masters in Astrophysics at Queen Mary University, London. He then went on to work as a data-centric developer in data warehousing, telecoms, futures trading and most recently in a successful fintech.

During his career, among other things, Jo has become proficient at design and architecture of relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle DB, Mongo), micro services, REST API design, AWS web services (including serverless computing and elastic container services), Microsoft technologies, Azure, MVC, C# (and VB.Net), and front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, DevExpress, Bootstrap and VUE.

Technological Inspiration

Matador's vison is to be the go-to partner for Japanese pharma's technological inspiration. The addition of Jo to our team will enable us to tie together such transformational technologies as SciBite's born FAIR and Cara's document and data management capabilities. Our pharmaceutical clients often know what they need but not always how to achieve that outcome. With Jo's experience we look forward to helping them navigate a path forward.
